Face Coverings Posted or Updated on 3 Feb 2023

NHS England has updated national guidance to all healthcare settings on infection prevention and control following updates from the UK Health Security Agency.

Patients will be encouraged to wear face masks / coverings when coming into the practice, however patients attending with respiratory symptoms SHOULD wear a face covering if tolerated.

Consideration will be given to vulnerable people entering the practice and they can request the option to wait outside before being called to their appointment or use the private room if available. Patients can also ask that the Clinician wears a face covering during their consultation.

Please speak to a member of the reception team and they will inform the clinician.
