We have a computerised repeat prescription system for which we need two working days' notice to process your prescription request and send it to your nominated pharmacy.
To order your repeat medication, the preferred method would be to order electronically, either through the NHS app or SystmOnline. Alternatively, if you do not have online access, you can return the tear-off computer slip to the surgery ticking the items you require or you can fill in a prescription request form available in the foyer at the surgery. We do not take prescription requests via the telephone.
Repeat prescriptions can be requested up to 7 days before they are due. This allows the surgery and the pharmacy time to process your request.
Examples
Brought into surgery on Monday: will be sent to your pharmacy for dispensing by Wednesday afternoon.
Brought into the surgery on Friday: will be sent to your pharmacy for dispensing by Tuesday afternoon.
Posted through surgery letter box at the weekend: will be sent to your pharmacy for dispensing by Wednesday afternoon.
Requests for any medication that is not on your repeat template can take between 3-5 days before being sent to your pharmacy, as these requests will need to be authorised by a doctor before processing.
If you have registered for our on-line service (SystmOnline) sign in here to order your prescription.
If you have not registered, please ask at reception to obtain the required ID and password to sign up.
If you have a smartphone or tablet you can also order through the NHS App. You will need to download the NHS app from your app store.
